Eat fruits or vegetables with every meal.
It's that simple.

The Instructions (not rules. We don't do rules here.)
*First of all, these are baby steps to a healthier life. Not rules. It's not a diet. It's not an exercise plan.
*"Baby steps" means you're experimenting and you might fall down, have to wiggle your butt to get some momentum back, and get back up again. No such thing as failure, you just want to have a healthier, more balanced life.
*Each week, there's a new "baby step." Start the baby step, do it for a week as a trial run. If it works for you--or if it didn't completely work but you feel it's important enough to tinker with, keep on with your baby step for three weeks.
*Tinker, hack, play with, adapt, fool around--and share it! What works, how did you make it work, what strange discoveries did you make?
*At any given time, you'll be working on as many as three baby steps--one that is in your first-week trial period, two that are ongoing. Don't worry too much about this. It's not on the test. (Pssst...there is no test...)
Now go have fun!
Come on in!
Welcome to the Baby Steps Health Challenge! Come on in, take a seat. Don't mind the dog hair--having pets is good for your blood pressure, you know.
If you're like me, you've tried all kinds of healthy-living regimes. That's what they are, too--regimes. Regimens. Strictures and structures. Walls and fences. Do's and don'ts (more don'ts than do's, from what I've noticed.)
Who's got time for all that?
Perhaps the sane way to live a healthy, balanced life isn't to try to follow the regimen somebody else cooked up. Sure, it worked for her--but you aren't her. You can't subsist on the juice of turnips for two months and still chase your two year-old around the house. You can't give up everything on your plate that makes life worth living and still live life. The hell with all that.

There's got to be a better way.
What if you took baby steps--little steps that improve your eating, your balance, your body? What if, instead of jumping right into What Worked For My Cousin Janet, you did things that work for you?
Join me in this journey. We'll take baby steps, one week at a time. Choose your baby step--jump on board to the weekly challenge or choose from a previous week's challenge, extend your weekly challenge for two or three, hold onto what works and let go of what doesn't work for you.
Best of all, share your experiences. Tell everyone what worked for you, share your cool little hacks and tricks of the trade, vent about what miserably fails.
Not my regimen, your baby steps.
Care to join me?
